This year we held the first Kuta Karnival!
An enormous success, the event saw participants, spectators and contributors from Bali and all round the world. As promised, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Beach and X-treme sports, Cultural Activities, a Spiritual Remembrance Ceremony, Sandcastle Competition, Music from Rock to Jazz, Environmental Exhibitions and much more.

The Opening Ceremony was accompanied by the 'good-omen' of rain!

X-treme Week saw the youth of Bali take to the air - with and without their boards!

The Pasar Rakyat (Peoples Market) blended traditional and modern food with NGO exhibitions, dancing dragons and unicyclists!

| The International Food Festival was a truly mouthwatering event. With Bands and other Entertainments over two weekends, this was one for the whole family! Link |

All through the Karnival, the Surfer Girl Cheerleaders wowed the crowds with their dancing and cheering!

No Karnival is complete without a parade. Ours, on October 11th was a triumph! Thousands of spectators watched hundreds of participants and a great day was had by all! Link |

| The Closing Ceremony was a beautiful and moving end to a wonderful Karnival. Individuals spoke of loss and heroism before the Paddle for Peace crew took garlands of flowers into the ocean for the Surfers Burial Service. Link |
